Advancing the Profession of Athletic Training Through Education and Research
We are a professional membership association for athletic trainers and athletic training students in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
GLATA strives to enhance the quality of health care for the physically active, promote the athletic trainer and advance the profession of athletic training through education and research in the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries.
The Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA) represents District 4 of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). As part of the federation of the 10 NATA districts, we are integrated with the national association, but operate independently with our own board and agenda. However, membership dues for District 4 are paid along with your NATA dues.
All membership information is provided to District 4 by the NATA. If you need to update your contact information, place of employment, or NPI number, please do so by following the "Update Your Membership Information" link at: http://www.nata.org/membership.
Athletic Trainers play an important role in the health and safety of athletes. However, that role too often goes unnoticed and many Athletic Trainers do not receive the recognition they deserve.
Gatorade hopes to help change this through the sponsorship of two awards that help acknowledge ATs hard work: The Gatorade Secondary School Athletic Trainer Award and The Tim Kerin Award for Excellence.
Nominate the deserving AT in your life! Nominations accepted until September 15, 2017.Read More »
