Advancing the Profession of Athletic Training Through Education and Research
We are a professional membership association for athletic trainers and athletic training students in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
GLATA strives to enhance the quality of health care for the physically active, promote the athletic trainer and advance the profession of athletic training through education and research in the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries.
The Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA) represents District 4 of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). As part of the federation of the 10 NATA districts, we are integrated with the national association, but operate independently with our own board and agenda. However, membership dues for District 4 are paid along with your NATA dues.
All membership information is provided to District 4 by the NATA. If you need to update your contact information, place of employment, or NPI number, please do so by following the "Update Your Membership Information" link at: http://www.nata.org/membership.
EBP Courses Available from GLATA
Your association has partnered with Innovative CEUs to provide home study access to the Evidence Based Practice (EBP) CEU course which we offer at the Annual Meeting. Combining the audio and Powerpoint slides from our Annual Meeting, participants have access to the latest research from leading authorities in clinical care and evidence based practice. Following the completion of each course, participants will complete the online quiz to retrieve their certificates.
