Biography:

Kristine Ensign is a Senior Project Manager in the Clinical and Translational Research Unit in the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University. Prior to her current role, Kristine was an associate clinical professor at Ohio University where she served as the Professional Athletic Training Program Director. Kristine completed her BS in Athletic Training at North Dakota State University (2007), MS in Athletic Training at Ohio University (2009), and PhD in Educational Leadership - Education Administration: Higher Education Leadership (2016). Kristine has primarily practiced clinically in the secondary school setting. Prior to joining the faculty at Ohio University, Kristine worked at Buffalo Hospital (Buffalo, MN) as an athletic trainer providing services to St. Michael-Albertville High School, IU Health Paoli Hospital providing services to Paoli and Springs Vally Jr-Sr High Schools (Paoli and French Lick, IN), and Franklin College (Franklin, IN) as a faculty member in their athletic training program. Kristine was been an active member of the Indiana Athletic Trainers' Association during her time in Indiana and is currently an active member of the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association. Kristine is passionate about advocating for racial and socially minoritized athletic trainers and patients.
