GLATA and the Young Professionals Committee are looking for engaged and passionate professionals to serve as the Illinois, Michigan, & Minnesota YPC Representatives.  The term of service is one year, twice renewable, for a total service time of up to three years.  Check out the YPC Applicant Qualifications HERE.  If you have questions about serving, please contact the current YP representative listed below.  To apply, please send a letter of interest and resume/vitae to the corresponding state leadership or YPC chair.

WHAT IS A YOUNG PROFESSIONAL?

A Young Professional (YP) is a Certified Athletic Trainer BOC certified for ten years or less.  We are the future of the profession of athletic training, both professionally and as mentors to athletic training students.  The National Athletic Trainers' Association and Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association values our unique perspective, which is why at national and district levels, Young Professional Committees have been formed to be advocates for all YPs!

GLATA’s Mentorship program was developed by the Young Professionals’ Committee with the goal of
·         Increasing involvement of Young professionals (YP)
·         Helping to guide Athletic Training Students (ATS) toward their professional goals
·         Promoting networking opportunities with Established Professionals (EP)
