2010 Free Communications Call for Abstracts PDF Print E-mail
Original research and case study abstracts for presentation in the free communications sessions of the GLATA Annual Meeting are now being accepted.  Both professional and student members are encouraged to apply.  The submission deadline is 5:00pm on November 15, 2009. Abstracts received after this date will be returned. Presenters of accepted poster free communications are expected to register for the GLATA Winter Meeting.

The uploaded abstract file name must be "first initial last name profFC ".
Example: "tsmithprofFC"
The only acceptable file types are Microsoft Word (.doc) or PDF (.pdf). Your uploaded file must be less than 2MB.

The undersigned first author is responsible for ensuring that the abstract, if accepted, will be presented. The first or second author must be a current member of GLATA.

In the "Name of Faculty Sponsor" field, please provide name of faculty sponsor who is responsible for ensuring that the abstract or clinical case report, if accepted, will be presented. The faculty sponsor must be a current member of GLATA. The student should be the presenter.

Research Funds Available
GLATA RESEARCH ASSISTANCE COMMITTEE

Purpose:

To encourage and foster research activity among the G.L.A.T.A. membership. We acknowledge that some research experience is necessary before more frequent and sophisticated research can be completed. The committee will serve two functions:

A. Consultive resource for information concerning research project merit, research design and oral/written presentation of project results. Call any Research Assistance Committee member for help with your research efforts.

B. Provision of four annual Research Assistance Awards of up to $1500 each.

C. Eligibility requirements:
    1. The PI or co-PI must be a certified member of the GLATA
    2. Two grants annually are available on a competitive basis for certified student members .
