Chris Schommer is a Teaching Professor at Bowling Green State University where he serves as the Exercise Science Program Coordinator and faculty member in the Masters of Athletic Training Program. Chris stated at Bowling Green State University in 1997 and served as the Program Director for the Undergraduate Athletic Training Program until 2019. Prior to BGSU, Chris worked at the Medical College of Ohio (now University of Toledo Medical Center) as an Athletic Trainer with high school coverage at Springfield High School. Chris earned his Master’s Degree from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and his Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University. Chris has served at the state level with the OATA and became involved with GLATA as the local meeting chair when GLATA had its annual meeting in Toledo, Oh in 2005 and 2008. Chris became the co-meeting planner for GLATA in 2009. Chris and his wife of 29 years, Susan, have three boys Patrick, Nick and Sam.
