Call for Presentation Proposals for the 2022 GLATA Annual Meeting and Symposium

Wheeling, IL

The Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association Education Committee is inviting proposals for professional presentations at the 2022 Annual Meeting and Symposium in Wheeling, IL, March 8-12, 2022. Athletic Trainers and affiliated professionals are encouraged to submit proposals. Presentation formats include: feature presentations, learning labs and mini-courses. Presentation topics should address athletic training domain(s) beyond entry-level.

 

Individuals interested in presenting must complete the online application indicating the presentation type, learning objectives, practice gap and resources needed as well as a structured abstract (250 word limit). All proposals must be submitted electronically through the GLATA Speaker Management System. Examples of submissions are posted within the management system. Please contact Jessica Emlich Jochum, GLATA Education Committee Chair (jochumj@uindy.edu) regarding any questions. Each submission will undergo review by the GLATA Education Committee. 

 

*NOTE Presenters are limited to submitting 2 sessions for the annual meeting and are limited to being listed a co-presenter on 2 sessions. This rule was developed to allow for a greater variety of speakers at the annual meeting.

 

Submissions must be received by June 30th, 2021 for consideration.

Proposal topics must fall within one of the five domains of practice for athletic training.  

  1. Injury and Illness Prevention and Wellness Promotion
  2. Examination, Assessment and Diagnosis
  3. Immediate and Emergency Care
  4. Therapeutic Intervention
  5. Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility

Proposal submissions must avoid any affiliation with a commercial product or service.
