Biography:

Joseph Cunnane graduated from Illinois State University in 1991.  He received his Masters in Education from Chicago State University.  Joe has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 30 plus years of which 28 of those years are as a teacher/Head Athletic Trainer at Lockport Township High School for 28 years.  He spoke at GLATA on the topics of Baseline Neurological Testing at the High School Level as well as managing the Type 1 Diabetic Athlete.  Joseph Cunnane has received many awards including Illinois Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2020 and the National Athletic Trainers Association Service Award in 2018.  Mr. Cunnane has served on the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association Secondary Schools Committee since 1997 along with multiple other positions within the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association.  He is married to a very tolerant wife, Jennifer, and they have 4 adult aged sons.
