Biography:

Robert Sipes is the Program Director for the professional MSAT program and the Chair of the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Dr. Sipes earned his Bachelors degree at Judson College and his Masters degree at California State University, Long Beach.  He then completed the EdD in Curriculum and Instruction from Illinois State University after five years in clinical practice in the university setting. He has been on the educational side of athletic training since 2005, serving at multiple institutions in instructional and administrative roles. He served for several terms as a CAATE peer reviewer and member of the CAATE Review Committee. Dr. Sipes has also served on the campus wide Assessment Committee at his institution, as a Mentor/Advisor for the state and district student senate committees, and as a reviewer for several journals. He currently serves as the Vice-President of the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Association, which is a dual role as the State Representative to District 11 and the GLATA.  He has a passion for using assessment to improve education of students and helping educators improve their knowledge of assessment, with the hopes of benefitting as many future athletic training students as possible.
